District Council Leader Pays Tribute To Departing Cabinet Member Publicity Pru Moore
20th July 2016
by Peter Chapman
The resignation of Publicity Pru Moore from the cabinet on Mid Sussex District Council was confirmed last night by leader Garry Wall.
In addressing the members at a meeting of the full council, Cllr Wall offered these words for the departing cabinet member for Leisure and Sustainability:
“It’s not something I’ve had to deal with before (a resignation from the cabinet) But I think what I would like to do, is offer my sincere thanks on a personal level, on behalf of members and indeed the whole community of Mid-Sussex, for her years of hard work, tenacity and determination, whilst no issue - large or small - was ignored.
All we can ask of ourselves as members and individuals, is that we leave the particular work stream that we’ve been charged with in a better place than when we arrived. What I can say, without hesitation, is that Cllr Moore has certainly achieved this and that she leaves a very strong legacy indeed.”
You can listen to Mr Wall (in full) in this audio recording from the meeting:
As for Pru's replacement, Cllr Wall has said that he's received several expressions of interest already and that there will now be a 'proper and robust process that identifies the most suitable replacement.' and he hopes to make an announcement by the next meeting of the full council (in September)
Spread the word! Pru Moore has resigned from the Mid Sussex District Council Cabinet
