Public Information Event To Be Held For The Future Of 'Park Centre'
7th October 2024 | By Peter Chapman
The Park Centre CIO Trustees are to hold a public information event on Tuesday 22nd October at The Burgess Hill Academy with a 7pm start time in order to share their plans for the building with the local community.
The building - which has been closed since 2021- is in the final throws of having the trusteeship transferred from West Sussex County Council to the new charity via the Charity Commission.
A number of community groups had used the building right before its closure, including the Escape Youth Club - who have been operating from a couple of temporary homes in recent years and are currently running their club nights every Friday during term-term at The Burgess Hill Academy.
In promoting the event, the trustees have written the following:
We are thrilled to extend an invitation to the community to join us for a special event where we will unveil the exciting developments happening at Park Centre. You might have observed the installation of Heras fencing or noticed other activities taking place, and we are eager to keep you informed about these changes and introduce ourselves to those who may not know us yet.
For many, Park Centre has been a cornerstone of community life, offering a space for connection, growth, and shared experiences. As we embark on the next chapter of our journey, we are excited to share our vision for the centre's future and discuss the enhancements that we have planned. This is not just an opportunity for us to inform you but also for you to become a part of the conversation.
We warmly welcome your input and involvement as we aim to shape Park Centre into a vibrant and inclusive space. Whether you are a longstanding member of the community or new to the area, your presence and voice are invaluable to us. We hope to see you at the event, where you can learn more about our plans and discover how you might contribute to this exciting evolution.
Thank you for your continued support and enthusiasm. Together, we can ensure that Park Centre remains a cherished and dynamic hub for everyone. We look forward to seeing you there!
