William Hill Interiors & Store Twenty One Close Down In Burgess Hill Town Centre
10th February 2017
By Peter Chapman
Last weekend saw the closure of two long-standing businesses in Burgess Hill.
William Hill Interiors decided to close their store in the Martlets ahead of the scheduled redevelopment of the centre. They chose not to relocate, but haven't ruled out returning to the town in the future.
William Hill Interiors were best known for being tennants in the Market Place Shopping Centre for over 20 years.
The closure of Store Twenty One had been expected for many months with the company hitting the headlines nationally for their financial troubles. On Sunday ( 5th February) the staff were packing away all the remaining unsold stock and removed the fixtures and fittings.
It is expected that Iceland will be moving into the vacated store on Church Walk - which is actually owned by NewRiver Retail who also own the Martlets shopping centre - as the frozen food giant won't have a hope when the centre is finally redeveloped later this year.
Spread the word, two more shops have closes and Iceland are relocating
