We caught up with UKIP Mid Sussex Chairman Chris French following the announcement to get his reaction:

Members of UKIP in Mid Sussex celebrate the national referendum victory.
Mid Sussex MP Nicholas Soames attended the count at 2am but didn't stick around for long. At 6:41am he took to Twitter and tweeted the following:
On Facebook, Burgess Hill resident Tom O'Hara Wrote:
Sad day for the UK. We shall lose Scotland and Northern Ireland. It will take years for the pound to get back to being a strong international currency and from next week I expect petrol/diesel to go up significantly. Fuel is priced in US dollars and the pound has weaken by nearly 15% overnight. Is this what Brexit really wanted? This is not scare mongering but the new reality!
Spread the word, Mid Sussex voted in but the country voted OUT

What's your reaction to the E.U Referendum result? Are you surprised that Remain won the vote locally 53% to 47%? Should David Cameron resign? Is that doom and gloom for the UK?
