lidl gas holder works leylands road Lidl To Move To Leylands Road Gas Holder Site

Sad news for fans of the Gas Holder on Leylands Road as once again it’s in danger of being knocked down.  

Local residents had hoped that the disused site would eventually be use for residential development, however NewRiver Retail (Owners of the Martlets Shopping Centre)
seem to have first dibs on it and wish to relocate Lidl there.

NewRiver Retail’s PR company have written a letter to local residents with the following information:

An exhibition will take place on Friday 4th December 2015 between 5.00pm and 8.00pm and on Saturday 5th December between 9.30am and 12.30pm at the Sidney West Centre, Leylands Road, Burgess Hill RH15 8HS. Plans will be available and the development team will be present to answer any questions you may have and importantly take on board any suggestions.

This is a good opportunity for local residents and businesses to view the draft plans for the new foodstore and give feedback prior to submission of a planning application to Mid Sussex District Council.
