Burgess Hill County Councillor Quits Conservative Party

News has broken across social media over the past 24 hours that Andy Petch, the West Sussex County Councillor for the 'Victoria and Hassocks' ward has sensationally QUIT the Conservative party and is now sitting as an independent councillor. Mr Petch was elected onto West Sussex County Council in May 2013.
It's thought that Andy quit the Conservative Party following cuts made to the fire service of which he is a member.
