Two pedestrians seriously injured in Burgess Hill collision

Sussex Police have released a statement following an incident on Station Road yesterday evening:
At 8.30pm on Wednesday (14 January) a Ford Focus saloon collided with two pedestrians in Station Road, Burgess Hill, near the junction with Wolstonbury Way.
The two pedestrians, a 65-year old woman and a 73-year old man, both from Burgess Hill, sustained serious head injuries and were taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton.
The car driver, a 61-year old Burgess Hill woman, was unhurt.
