Gemma Bolton, Labour Party
Franklands Ward
I am proud to be standing as a council candidate for the ward that I grew up in and where I still live.
I attended Birchwood Grove school and am now studying to be a Social Worker. Once qualified, I hope to stay and work locally.
If elected, I will strive to raise the voice of young people in the town and stem the loss of our youth community facilities.
I will work to ensure our town centre redevelopment is a success and to promote the town to local small businesses. I believe it is important to retain Burgess Hill’s originality rather than become a clone town.
I will also promote green spaces and recreation areas and work to build our local community by providing the public services and leisure and entertainment facilities it needs.
